A message from the series "What the World Still Needs." 12/21/2025 | What the World Still Needs | Love That Moves Toward Us
John 3:16-17
Big Idea: The love that the world needs most is not earned, it is not conditional, it is not temporary. It is the self-giving love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.
Is there a love that won’t walk away when things get difficult? Love doesn’t start with us, it starts with God.
God’s Unstoppable Love…
1. God’s love came to us (Romans 5:8).
2 God’s love is proven through sacrifice (1John 4:9-10; 2 Cor 5:21).
3. God’s love offers rescue, not rejection.
4. God’s love gives us eternal life.
What do you do with a love like that?
1. Receive it, you cannot achieve it.
2. Rest in it, be content.
3. Reflect it, pay it forward.
A message from the series "What the World Still Needs." 12/14/2025 What the World Still Needs
Luke 1:46-55 Joy & Real Life
Big Idea: Real joy is not something you achieve, it’s Someone you receive.
Three Foundations of Lasting Joy:
1. Joy begins when God becomes your center, instead of your circumstances. (vs 46-48). What’s been sitting at the center of your world lately?
2. Joy grows when you remember what God has done (vs 49-51). Joy grows through remembering all that God has done and continues to do for you.
3. Joy endures because God keep His promises (vs 52-55). We have God’s Word, but we don’t have His timeline. Can you receive joy in what God has promised, even if you’re still waiting on what He has planned? God has NEVER broken a promise, and He won’t start with you.
Personally and practically, I can walk this out this week as I…
1. Re-center my joy on the Lord.
2. Practice the discipline of remembrance. Joy doesn’t come by chasing more, it comes by remembering well.
3. Choose to trust God’s promise, even before I see the outcome.
4. Let my joy move outward, not just inward. Who do you know who needs you to share your joy with them?

A message from the series "What the World Still Needs." What The World Still Needs Hope in the Dark
Isaiah 9:2-7; Luke 1:26-38
Big Idea: What the world still needs is true hope that is confident assurance, rooted in God’s promises, fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
ISAIAH 9
Jesus is the Light who brings hope…
1. For people in darkness (John 8:12)
The titles of Jesus give us insight into the hope He brings:
a. Wonderful Counselor; His wisdom amazes and overcomes. Do you talk to God first, before going to anybody else?
b. Mighty God; Colossians 1:16b-17 - He is mightier and more powerful than any leader on earth.
c. Everlasting Father; perfect, tender, compassionate, always present. He longs to be with you
d. Prince of peace; He gives us rest, peace, and hope for our future. He may not calm the storm around you, but He will calm the storm within you.
2. …that never ends Revelation 21: 4.
Three things to consider this week:
1. Identify where you’ve misplaced hope
2. Anchor your hope in Jesus (Romans 15:13
3. Share hope with someone else
Hope has a name: Jesus. He is the Light who brings hope into our darkness. What is your next step in finding hope in Jesus?
Jesus, be my hope today…
A message from the series "Individual Messages." Be The Church
Big Idea: Church is not a place we go to, it’s who we are! When we live it out, the world takes notice. (John 3:16; Romans 6:23)
Acts 2:42-47
The movement of the early church was characterized by:
1. Devotion to God’s Word and each other (vs 42-43). See 2Tim 3:16-17. God’s Word will transform our lives, if we devote ourselves to knowing what is in it.
2. Shared lives of radical generosity (vs 44-45). See 1 John 3:17 James 2:14-17; 1Cor 12 and Rom 12 - Spiritual gifts
3. Worshipping with joy (vs 46-47a). See aPsalm 100:2
4. A witness that attracts others (v 47b). See John 13:35
