Message: "Love" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "What the World Still Needs." 12/21/2025 | What the World Still Needs | Love That Moves Toward Us
John 3:16-17
Big Idea: The love that the world needs most is not earned, it is not conditional, it is not temporary. It is the self-giving love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.
Is there a love that won’t walk away when things get difficult? Love doesn’t start with us, it starts with God.
God’s Unstoppable Love…
1. God’s love came to us (Romans 5:8).
2 God’s love is proven through sacrifice (1John 4:9-10; 2 Cor 5:21).
3. God’s love offers rescue, not rejection.
4. God’s love gives us eternal life.
What do you do with a love like that?
1. Receive it, you cannot achieve it.
2. Rest in it, be content.
3. Reflect it, pay it forward.

Message: "Joy" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "What the World Still Needs." 12/14/2025 What the World Still Needs
Luke 1:46-55 Joy & Real Life
Big Idea: Real joy is not something you achieve, it’s Someone you receive.
Three Foundations of Lasting Joy:
1. Joy begins when God becomes your center, instead of your circumstances. (vs 46-48). What’s been sitting at the center of your world lately?
2. Joy grows when you remember what God has done (vs 49-51). Joy grows through remembering all that God has done and continues to do for you.
3. Joy endures because God keep His promises (vs 52-55). We have God’s Word, but we don’t have His timeline. Can you receive joy in what God has promised, even if you’re still waiting on what He has planned? God has NEVER broken a promise, and He won’t start with you.
Personally and practically, I can walk this out this week as I…
1. Re-center my joy on the Lord.
2. Practice the discipline of remembrance. Joy doesn’t come by chasing more, it comes by remembering well.
3. Choose to trust God’s promise, even before I see the outcome.
4. Let my joy move outward, not just inward. Who do you know who needs you to share your joy with them?

Message: "Hope" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "What the World Still Needs." What The World Still Needs Hope in the Dark
Isaiah 9:2-7; Luke 1:26-38
Big Idea: What the world still needs is true hope that is confident assurance, rooted in God’s promises, fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
ISAIAH 9
Jesus is the Light who brings hope…
1. For people in darkness (John 8:12)
The titles of Jesus give us insight into the hope He brings:
a. Wonderful Counselor; His wisdom amazes and overcomes. Do you talk to God first, before going to anybody else?
b. Mighty God; Colossians 1:16b-17 - He is mightier and more powerful than any leader on earth.
c. Everlasting Father; perfect, tender, compassionate, always present. He longs to be with you
d. Prince of peace; He gives us rest, peace, and hope for our future. He may not calm the storm around you, but He will calm the storm within you.
2. …that never ends Revelation 21: 4.
Three things to consider this week:
1. Identify where you’ve misplaced hope
2. Anchor your hope in Jesus (Romans 15:13
3. Share hope with someone else
Hope has a name: Jesus. He is the Light who brings hope into our darkness. What is your next step in finding hope in Jesus?
Jesus, be my hope today…

Message: "Be the Church" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "Individual Messages." Be The Church
Big Idea: Church is not a place we go to, it’s who we are! When we live it out, the world takes notice. (John 3:16; Romans 6:23)
Acts 2:42-47
The movement of the early church was characterized by:
1. Devotion to God’s Word and each other (vs 42-43). See 2Tim 3:16-17. God’s Word will transform our lives, if we devote ourselves to knowing what is in it.
2. Shared lives of radical generosity (vs 44-45). See 1 John 3:17 James 2:14-17; 1Cor 12 and Rom 12 - Spiritual gifts
3. Worshipping with joy (vs 46-47a). See aPsalm 100:2
4. A witness that attracts others (v 47b). See John 13:35

Message: "A Faith-Filled Community" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "Colossians." A Grace Filled Community Colossians 4:7-18

Big Idea: Following Jesus and being the church is a team sport!
The Gospel doesn’t just save people, it creates a community.

As the church, we are called to be part of a grace-filled Gospel community:
1. True gospel community encourages one another (vs 7-9). Kingdom impact happens behind the scenes. (Philemon 1:10) Encouragement is oxygen. The Gospel doesn’t just change your eternity, it changes your identity. (2 Cor 5:15,17). Jesus doesn’t cancel people, He transforms them.

2. True Gospel community is diverse but unified (vs 10-14). The Church is built on Christ-centered unity within God-designed diversity. (Gal 3:28).

3. True Gospel community finishes the mission together (vs 15-18). Complete the mission God has given you. We are saved to serve others.

Who am I encouraging? Who am I serving alongside? What is my part in the mission?

Message: "Standing Strong" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "Colossians." Big Idea: Pray persistently, live wisely, and speak graciously so others see Christ in you.
Colossians 4: 2-6
Storms have a way of revealing what’s going on inside of us. When we are in difficult times we shrink down to the size of our training. The test of our faith reveals who we really are.
In an uncertain world, Kingdom people:
1. Stand firm through persistent prayer (vs 2-4). Do you pray as a last resort? (Acts 2:42) Our prayer life should be the conduit through which we find joy in our circumstances. If you want to stand firm in public, you need to be grounded in private. (Philippians 4:6-7).
2. Stand firm through wise living (v5). Our lives are sermons long before our words are. (Matthew 5:16) What does your life communicate about Christ to those around you?
3. Stand firm through gracious speech (v6). Grace in our conversations means kindness, patience, and understanding towards others, even when they may not deserve it in our minds. Always, we are to speak the truth in love. It’s never about trying to make people happy, but when we speak, even in disagreement, we need to speak in a manner that shows others love and respect, and points them toward Christ. Do your words pull others in, or do they push them away?
Where do you need to stand firm right now? Gratitude is the evidence of a changed life. Prayer isn’t just what we do in the battle, it is the battle.

Message: "Christ in Your Relationships" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "Colossians." 11/09/2025 | Christ in Your Relationships
Big Idea: Faith that is real will always reach your relationships. The true measure of faith isn’t found in what you believe on Sunday, it’s found in hat you believe from Monday through Saturday. Does Christ make a difference in the relationships that matter most?
Colossians 3: 18-41
Three everyday relationships where Christ’s presence should make all the difference.
1. Jesus transforms marriage (vs 18-19) Eph 5: 21-22 mutual submission to one another; Eph 5: 23-24 submission is not servitude. The goal is not hierarchy, it’s harmony.
2. Jesus transforms family (vs 20-21) Eph 6:1 Discipline should guide, not humiliate - are you encouraging or exasperating your children? Do you obey God in a that pleases Him?
3. Jesus transforms work (vs 22-4:1) 1 Cor 10:31 be diligent in everything you do, at all times. Who are you working for?
Where does Jesus need to bring change in your relationships right now?

Message: "Putting off the Old Life" from Joe Pryor

A message from the series "Colossians." Putting off the old life
Colossians 3: 1-11
Big Idea: New life in Christ means saying goodbye to the old you.
As Christ followers, we put off the old life and put on the new life…
1. New life means a new focus (vs 1-4). This is an ongoing process (24/7), not just when it’s convenient. (Gal 2;20, John 10:28).
2. New life means killing old sin (vs 5-9). Get rid of our old, bad habits so that God can form new ones in us. Our lives reflects what we believe. This requires us to surrender. (Gal 5:24).
3. New life creates a new identity (vs 10-11). Our faith in Christ is what needs to define who we are.
How you can walk in newness of life as a Kingdom person:
1. Identify an old “outfit” you’ve been wearing (…sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, anger, wrath, malice, slander, filthy language, gossip, lying…)
2. Confess it and put it to death (“Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature” Colossians 3:5.
3. Allow God to replace it with new life (Keyword: surrender; it’s not about behavior modification, it’s about heart transformation. Gratitude is the evidence of new life.
4. Live from your new identity. Believe the truth of who you are in Christ.

Message: "Pride | Daniel 4" from Dave Kearns

A message from the series "Individual Messages." Pride | Daniel 4
Pride is recognized by an air of arrogant haughtiness, thinking that what we do, say or think matters the most.
1. Allure of pride: pride makes us think that we are in control.
2. Sneakiness of pride: our personal motive for doing good circumvents the good we do (jealousy and being easily offended, for example).
3. Confusion of pride: we have a wrong perspective on things that makes us unteachable and unable to grow (Proverbs 26:2).
4. Destruction of pride: pride interferes with our relationship with God. Pride is idolatry, it leads to selfishness, ingratitude, coveting, and envy. Pride robs us of joy and makes us unable to have compassion for others. (Micah 6:8; Phil 2:8).
We deserve God’s wrath and judgment, but what we get is God’s love, His grace, His mercy, and His forgiveness.
