Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Jesus is the Great High Priest who has made the way for us to be with the Father.
The role of the High Priest in the Old Testament:
Three primary responsibilities:
1. Mediation - Our representative to God
2. Sacrifice - Blood offering for sin
3. Intercession - Acts on our behalf
