Be The Church
Big Idea: Church is not a place we go to, it’s who we are! When we live it out, the world takes notice. (John 3:16; Romans 6:23)
Acts 2:42-47
The movement of the early church was characterized by:
1. Devotion to God’s Word and each other (vs 42-43). See 2Tim 3:16-17. God’s Word will transform our lives, if we devote ourselves to knowing what is in it.
2. Shared lives of radical generosity (vs 44-45). See 1 John 3:17 James 2:14-17; 1Cor 12 and Rom 12 - Spiritual gifts
3. Worshipping with joy (vs 46-47a). See aPsalm 100:2
4. A witness that attracts others (v 47b). See John 13:35
