Children's Ministry Director (Part-Time)
Position Overview
Northampton Bible Church is seeking a passionate, organized, and relational leader to serve as our Children's Ministry Director. This part-time position provides leadership for a growing ministry focused on helping children know Jesus, grow in their faith, and become lifelong disciples.
The Children's Ministry Director will recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers, build relationships with families, and help create safe, engaging, Gospel-centered environments for children from birth through elementary school.
The position is 15 hours per week, with a target start date of September 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and develop children's ministry volunteers and leaders.
- Build and support healthy volunteer teams.
- Provide leadership and oversight for Children's Ministry programming and events.
- Create a welcoming environment for children and families.
- Follow up with new families and build strong relationships with parents.
- Communicate regularly with volunteers and families.
- Ensure ministry policies and safety procedures are consistently followed.
- Partner with the Next Gen Associate Pastor to advance the church's mission and vision.
Qualifications
- Will meet the biblical requirements of a Deacon, as found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with Northampton Bible Church's mission and values.
- Clear passion and drive for children's spiritual growth and family ministry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to recruit, encourage, and develop volunteers.
- Experience in children's ministry, education, leadership, or a related field preferred.
Schedule
- Part-time salaried position (15 hours per week)
- Regular Sunday morning involvement required
- Participation in ministry planning and leadership meetings
- Additional involvement during select church-wide events
